Events Events

All events are run by volunteers and funded by donations/sponsors.  Use of tax-payer dollars for funding is kept to a minimum, so donations and sponsorships are critical/essential to our ability to do events.  Fireworks alone cost $15,000.  So if you like coming to Downs to enjoy our fireworks, please contribute and help us continue to offer a great show.

Just as important are the volunteers.  You don't have to run the event, plan or organize if you don't want to.  In fact, giving an hour or two of your time can be what allows us to do something or have to cancel due to lack of help.  We need everyone's help that likes to enjoy these events to give a little bit of their talent.

To donate or sponsor an event use this form and return to the Village Hall Mail Slot or mail to the Village Hall.  To volunteer contact the Mayor or another member of the Events Committee.
