Zoning Board of Appeals Public Hearing - 8/31/2020, 6 & 6:30 pm @ Dooley Park Pavilion


The Downs ZBA will hear two cases on Aug 31, 2020 for Zoning and Annexation:
  1. 6:00 pm: 

    PUBLIC NOTICE is given that a public hearing will be held on August 31, 2020, at 6:00 PM, at the Dooley Park Pavilion, Downs, IL on an zoning map amendment by Burr Oak, LLC to change the zoning classification from C2 - General Commercial District to a classification of A – Agriculture District on the following described real estate:

    Approximately 25 acres of the E ½ of the SW ¼ of Section 5, EXCEPT the West 50’ thereof, in Township 22 North, Range 3 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Village of Downs, McLean County, Illinois.   Commonly known as 19244 E 700 North Rd – South ~25 acres, Downs, IL, 61736.

    The application is available for examination at the Downs Village Hall, 211 S. Seminary St, Downs, IL between 8 am – 12 pm Monday – Friday.

    PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Downs (“ZBA”) that on August 31,  2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dooley Park Pavilion, Downs, IL a public hearing will be held on a petition for annexation and zoning map amendment submitted by Freedom Oil Company, Inc. to change the zoning from C- Commercial to C2- General Commercial District and to grant a zoning variance as requested in the proposed annexation agreement on the following described real estate:

    Lot 1 in “K & R Subdivision” in the Southeast ¼ of Section 30, Township 23 North, Range 3 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat thereof recorded February 6, 1990 as Document Number 90-1874, in McLean County, Illinois.

    Property address is commonly known as 18928 U.S. Highway 150 aka Towanda Barnes & Route 150, Bloomington, IL 61705 which tract is 3.0700 acres.

    An accurate map of the subject property proposed to be annexed to the Village of Downs and a copy of the petition and proposed annexation agreement are on file with the Village Clerk and can be inspected by the public at the Village Hall at 211 S. Seminary Street, Downs, Illinois between the hours of 8 am – 12 pm Monday – Friday.

    All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
