The 2013 Downs Haunted House has set five dates this year for the Halloween Season. We will be open from 6:00PM to 10:00PM on 10/13, 10/20, 10/26, 10/27. There will be activities and concessions in Dooley Park. The Haunted House tickets will need to be purchased at Dooley Park prior to taking the Hay Rack ride to the house (except for Friday, 10/26 will need to purchase tickets at the haunted house).
The admission price for the Haunted House will be $2.00 per person. The hayrack ride is free. A campfire is available, with hot dogs and s’more ingredients available for a mere 50 cents each. You get to fix your own! This year we are offering an unlimited wrist band option for the Haunted House, which will be available for $5.00 per night.
On Saturday, 10/13 and 10/20, there will be children’s activities in the Dooley Park Pavilion from 6:00 to 8:00, along with concessions until 10. Friday, 10/26, only the Haunted House will be open, no events or hayrack will be available that evening.
On Saturday, 10/27, The Fedoras will be playing popular 60s and 70s music. They are awesome, come in costume and enjoy this free concert!
On Sunday,10/28,from 1:00PM to 3:00PM, this will be an un-Haunted House version for the younger kids to have the opportunity to walk through with the lights and no scares (this special event is free and the children are encouraged to dress in costume. As they come through each room, we will pass out candy).
Down Community Haunted House Volunteers Needed – 16 & over
We are asking for volunteers that are 16 and over to help us make this another successful year at the Haunted House. No need to be afraid our volunteers are well trained and supervised. We have positions available for tour guides, scene actors and crowd walkers.
