Update! Boil Order Lifted!
This morning we found a major water main break on West Washington and North Price area. The water tower was almost entirely empty. Please give the tower a couple of hours to refill this morning before using water.
Boil order will be on the entire Village of Downs for a few days. This will last until we get the all clear from the IEPA. Once water is restored and the break is fixed, we must send them 2 separate passing water tests with 24 hours between them. The soonest we can get the 2nd test results back would be Wednesday. So please expect the boil order to last till then at a minimum.
We will send an announcement, in all the ways this has been sent, when the boil order is lifted. Please practice safe water usage. |
