Please conserve water use during this time - October 2022
Below is a highlight from the Mayor's report in October's Newsletter:
Current Water Tower –
- Water tower repairs and improvements will cost $350k and will include inside and outside recoating. We are working on planning and pricing out pressure tanks to use during this time instead of hydrant blow off values.
- We passed an agreement with McLean County to provide funding to complete all our water tower needs from their ARPA funds. Up to $350k.
- Project is on track and the interior has been completed. They will start the outside this week. During this time, there will be more loud noise from vacuum system to capture the debris and material used to blast the tower down to metal inside the tent.
- Please conserve water use during this time as we only have 18k gallons of reserve water
