PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Village of Downs, Illinois will hold a public hearing on March 16, 2022, 6 pm at the Downs Village Hall, located at 211 S. Seminary St, Downs, IL, which can also be attended via ZOOM for the purpose of receiving public comments for Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) Project numbers L173104 and L176036. The referenced IEPA project numbers are for the proposed extension of the Downs Public Water System to Downs Crossing. The project consists of a watermain, a pumping station, a water tower, and miscellaneous appurtenances. The IEPA project summary, ZOOM connection information, and PEID is available at the Downs Village Hall, on the Village website, Downs GPS Facebook page for public review prior to the hearing. Written comments will be received by the Village of Downs or IEPA up to 10 days after the public hearing.
