Starting Monday, March 8th, the Village of Downs Water Department will be doing maintenance on the iron treatment filter. The filter will be back online by the end of day Friday, March12th. The tower will have 1 to 1.5 days of filtered water, so any conservation consumers can do will be helpful to help make the filtered water last longer.
During this process water will have a higher iron content and brownish color than usual, but it will be safe to drink. You might not want to wash any white clothes during this time.
