150th Anniversary of the Gettsyburg Address


A group trip to Springfield, IL on Tuesday, November 19 to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address is being coordinated by First State Bank located on Hershey Drive.

The day includes a guided tour of Oak Ridge Cemetery, which includes Lincoln's Tomb, memorials for WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War Memorials.  We will then travel to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum which offers various special events throughout the day including the reading of the Gettysburg Address by Fritz Klein as Abraham Lincoln. 
 
The cost is $45 per person.  We will depart Normal at 8:00 am and return around 6:00 /6:30 pm.  The fee includes the Guided Tour of Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lincoln Museum entrance fee, special activities for the celebration, transportation, taxes, and tips.  Travelers are responsible for lunch.  (There will be a complete list of close options which includes Subway conveniently located inside the museum).
